WT6: Knowledge Management
Work Task Leader: STAR
Main Contributors: All
The goal in this WT is to develop an ontology of the musculoskeletal system, supporting semantics-driven retrieval of information (such as partner "delivered models" parameters). STAR takes care of ontology development and sets-up and manages a web portal to create within (and outside) the consortium a knowledge sharing and storage platform based on the ontology. This enables meaningful exchange and search of information, thus bringing up the training and dissemination processes up to a more advanced level of knowledge management. Moreover, the developed ontology framework will also serve as a basis for subject comparison. Out of it, statistical correlations between anthropometric, physiological and functional information may be stressed and quantified. All partners collaborate with STAR to bring relevant parameters from their own field, to be integrated in the semantic data structure.
